Traffickers have no single profile—they can be of any gender, age, or background.

To their victims, traffickers may appear as:

• A “pimp” or someone posing as a romantic partner

• An employer or a professional figure

• Respected individuals like community leaders, church figures, teachers, or coaches

• Family members

• Trusted friends or peers

• Complete strangers

Sometimes, they may even be introduced through mutual acquaintances.
